Serenity, wellness and balance – these are the core attributes Alexandra Briand has spent her life cultivating in herself and bringing to others. With a mix of services ranging from acupuncture to eyelashes, her Miami based studio is one of kind in the world of beauty. With a belief that beauty starts from within, Alexandra works from the inside out, using her positive energy, comforting demeanor and masterful skills to sooth, heal and provide a general sense of wellbeing to her many clients.

Born in Argentina and raised in Peru and Miami, Alexandra developed an interest in natural medicine in her early teens when she became a vegetarian and started experimenting with natural healing. Her passion grew with time and in 2000, she completed her first studies in natural medicine with Massage Therapy School. In time, Alexandra expanded her skills with a Diploma in Acupuncture from the Acupuncture and Massage College, a Master level certification in Reiki Healing Arts, and she completed an intense Yoga Course, becoming an Ashtanga Yoga instructor.

With a goal to transform clients inside an out, it didn’t take long for Alexandra to begin broadening her horizons further with a foray into beauty. Brother Gustavo Briand, a 16 year veteran hair stylist, introduced Alexandra to Xtreme Lashes after a visit with their mutual friend, Xtreme Lashes Trainer Ignacia Garcia. Gustavo suggested that the service would be ideally suited to Alexandra’s blend of artistic abilities (honed in the Visual Arts program at New World of the Arts school), and her attention to detail, a necessity for the practice of acupuncture.

“He thought I would love it,” she says, “and I DO!!!  Xtreme Lashes has brought me intimately involved with the healing side of the beauty industry that I had resisted in the past. As a natural healer I had gravitated towards a focus on the inside. It was another opportunity to apply balance.” Alexandra signed up for a September 2007 training with Xtreme Lashes and soon added the service to her studio, then named Qi Balance Wellness Center.

The service addition was a success and Alexandra returned for an Advanced Training a year later. Displaying a superior level of expertise in class, she was selected to join the elite ranks of Certified Xtreme Lashes Trainers in October 2008 and is currently one of only 13 Trainers in the U.S.

With an ever increasing demand for lashes at her location and frequent training sessions conducted onsite, Qi Balance Wellness Center was reborn as Sultry Eyes Lash Studio in September 2009, making it the first lash specialty studio in Miami Beach. “I decided to change it from a wellness center to lash studio when I saw that 90% of my business had become Xtreme Lashes,” Alexandra says. “Xtreme Lashes as a company has inspired me in many ways to grow as a person, as a Trainer and as a Lash Stylist. I have grown more confident and successful.”

It is no surprise that a visit to Alexandra's Sultry Eyes Studio has quickly become a "must-have experience". Countless patrons have given rave reviews about their experience with Alexandra and clients love the Studio's Zen like environment with its warm, friendly energy. With the hustle and bustle of busy Miami left outside the door, the soft white light that emanates in the studio literally melts away any concerns and, together with Alexandra's sage advice and comfort, lash extending has never been so soothing. Clients departing Sultry Eyes leave not only with new natural looking, longer lashes but a new found sense of serenity, too.
