When you think of ‘Haute Couture’ you’re probably thinking ‘High Fashion’. It’s a term typically reserved for the catwalks of Paris and New York; the representatives of ‘top design’. In Austin, TX, ‘top design’ is expanding to include the lash stylings of Jenny Lee. Inside her salon, aptly name ‘Haute Couture Lashes’, exclusive and custom designs are created daily.

Jenny is a native of Houston, TX who settled in the hills of Austin around 2003. Her interest in the beauty industry developed over the years through her own personal experiences in plastic surgery. Jenny is a long time enthusiast and expert of plastic surgery and has had a number of operations to enhance her personal appearance in the past. With time and subject matter expertise, she has become one of the most sought after spokespersons for beauty enhancement. She has been featured on various shows around the world, from Germany to Japan, and has been interviewed by everyone from Oprah to Larry King here in the US and has received over 2 million visitors to her professional website, www.JennyLee.tv. It was through her many media appearances that she developed a desire for Xtreme Lashes®.

A self-proclaimed habitual strip lash wearer, Jenny says after she appeared on Oprah the first time without wearing strip lashes she says she was so disappointed in her appearance of the way she looked after viewing the airing from the Oprah Winfrey Show that she vowed never to appear on camera again without lashes. Like any artist, Jenny feels good design takes time and specialization. “I feel, in a way, I am sewing my own work of art on the eyes. I’m creating a look for a person designed especially for them. At Haute Couture Lashes, clients are getting extended time, extra personal service and attention… I am not a high volume operation, therefore I can afford to spend more time with clients,” she says.

After such an auspicious beginning one can only expect great things for the future of Jenny Lee and Haute Couture Lashes. She is currently working on a book about her life experiences and is in discussions to host her own television show to help others through their plastic surgery decisions. With the support of her husband and two daughters, she is currently working towards a certification in permanent makeup and intends to open a second Haute Couture location at the end of this year with an expanded services menu.
