Just outside the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, CA, lies the beautiful community of Studio City. Here you’ll find a quaint little salon called the Beauty Boutique. Owner and Certified Electrologist, Arlena Tomboulian, also specializes in spray tanning treatments and Xtreme Lashes® eyelash extensions. At the young age of 18, Arlena started an Electrology business in New York. She later moved to California where she received her California Electrology license from the American Institute of Education in Long Beach. Soon after, she began researching eyelash extension companies to add this unique procedure to her menu of services. She researched several different companies before deciding on Xtreme Lashes®. Her reasons: “Xtreme Lashes® was everything I was looking for.  The Customer Service was great, I loved the website and the whole presentation; and the products are top of the line.”

Arlena’s initial training with Xtreme Lashes® was in May of 2006. “The training impressed me, and the fact that not just anybody could say they did Xtreme Lashes®, THAT was important.” Since beginning to offer her Xtreme Lashes® services, Arlena’s Beauty Boutique has become a local hot spot for LA based celebrities. She has lashed such stars as Disney’s Christy Carlson Romano, Girlfriends’ Keesha Sharp and Borat actress Luenell. In November 2007, Arlena updated her skills with a private Advanced Training, which she says helped her to work faster and be more detailed with her applications.

Most of Arlena’s current client base comes through word of mouth advertising and local networking. She is a proud participant of “We Spark”, an organization which benefits Cancer survivors. She receives a number of clients through her work with them; cancer treatment survivors who have received chemotherapy treatment within the past year receive substantial discounts (sometimes as much as 75% off) to extend their lashes at Beauty Boutique. In addition, she applies free lashes for two weeks in July to chemo survivors as a way to honor her mother who lost her own battle with Cancer during that month. “It’s really rewarding, I love it” she says. “I saw what my mother went through and a little thing like eyelashes makes such a big difference.” She will be adding to her advertising efforts by launching a website for her salon after the first of the year.

When she’s not working her little lashes off, Arlena loves to dance. She teaches belly dancing to private clients and dances on her own to stay fit. She is also an avid animal lover who adores all kinds of animals and has a little Bichon Frise of her own at home. Congratulations to Arlena and her husband who were married this past July! (We wonder where she found the time!)

Lashes blew me away! Soo impressed and soo excited about my Lashes.  I have been tanning here for a few months now and was contemplating the lash extensions, a little nervous, I decided to look around a bit and do my own research. Come to find, Beauty Boutique was on another site for working on many celebrities. I had no idea! So I went for the full set and I am sooooo happy and thrilled! Best eye lash extensions! They were very natural looking. My friends couldn't believe how real and full they look. They looked awesome even without mascara.
