When you bring together an innovative concept like eyelash extensions with an entrepreneurial spirit like Dawn Tyree, success is bound to follow. Dawn is the proud owner of Exclusive Eyelash Designs & Spa operating out of Cleveland, Ohio. It is the first location in the Northern Ohio area to specialize in eyelash extensions and clients are racing to get in line for her services.

Dawn has been a Registered Nurse in the ICU for 9 years. Looking to branch out into other fields, she entered the beauty world when she signed up for training in Esthetics in 2007. During her training Dawn heard about the growing trend of eyelash extensions and decided to research the industry. She talked to several companies prior to choosing to partner with Xtreme Lashes®. When asked what was so special about Xtreme Lashes®, she replied, “I chose them because they shared my commitment to professionalism, education, and customer service. When researching other companies, Xtreme Lashes® was the only company who stated that not everyone passed the training. All the other companies said, ‘don’t worry everyone passes the class’. That’s just not possible for everyone to be good at this. That’s when I made my decision.“

Dawn attended her initial training class in December 2007 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She quickly learned that she had found her passion. One of Dawn’s philosophies is to “find something you would do for free and make that your career.”  She has done just that. One month after her Xtreme Lashes® training, Dawn completed her Esthetics Certification but still continued to expand her skills. Her dedication to educating herself, and those who choose her as a Lash Stylist, is one of her many distinguishing traits. She returned to Xtreme for an Xtended Education class in March 2008 and became certified and approved for the directory at the same time. In April 2008 she completed her Managing Manicuring training and 2 months later received her Certificate as a Permanent Cosmetics Technician. Her future plans still include attending the Advanced Training over the next several months.

Although still somewhat new to the industry, Dawn quickly found favor with her customers and grew through their referrals. She has been known to service customers from Michigan, New Jersey; Pittsburgh and even Texas.  Originally she had planned to open a full service Day Spa in the summer of 2008 but plans quickly changed after her husband noticed that her eyelash business was expanding rapidly in such a short amount of time. The new plans evolved to become Exclusive Eyelash Designs & Spa, the first Spa in Northern Ohio to specialize in eyelash extensions. Although the location includes a few additional services, Xtreme Lashes® are now the primary focus.

Dawn has participated in the BMW’s The Ultimate Drive for Breast Cancer on several occasions and her Spa is currently scheduled to participate in both the Ultimate Drive for Breast Cancer and the Energizer® Retreat mobile mini spa at the Komen Race for the Cure® in Cleveland, Ohio this year. When not at work, Dawn spends most of her time with her husband Wuaren and their three teenage sons Errion, Jordan, and London.
