As an Advanced Lash Stylist and Certified Xtreme Lashes Trainer, Zayd Soufi has built a reputation as one of San Diego's most sought after lash artists. Transformation is his business and whether he’s crafting lashes for Hollywood stars and Grammy Award winning artists or the professional business woman across town, his dedication to his craft and easy-going manner keep them all coming back for more. With skilled hands and an intuitive understanding of eye shape, Zayd Soufi puts the “style” in lash styling.

Growing up in Fairfax, VA, Zayd was drawn to the visual arts from a young age. After graduation, pursuing a career in graphic design seemed an obvious choice. His successful graphics career took a backseat to new opportunities though, when a friend persuaded him to go with her to a live eyelash extension demonstration. "I loved it right away," Zayd says. "Here was something natural [eyelashes] that I thought couldn't be improved upon. And BAM—here I was witnessing incredible changes taking place. The transformation wasn't limited to the physical lashes, it went deeper and seemed to increase self-confidence. That's what really got me."

Inspired by what he'd seen, Zayd headed to Miami for training in esthetics and subsequently signed on with Xtreme Lashes to start his new career as a certified lash artist. Shortly after training, Zayd opened a studio in one of McLean, VA's most prestigious salons and quickly became one of the East Coast’s most in-demand lash stylists. He received his Masters Esthetics License while in Virginia and in 2006, Zayd applied for and was accepted into the elite Trainer program for Xtreme Lashes, the global leader in eyelash extensions. After completing his Trainer Certification, Zayd began traveling the country educating new professionals in the art of lash styling. Today, Zayd is among Xtreme Lashes' most requested trainers. Students cite his incredible attention to detail and genuine concern for his clients and his pupils. "I put my heart and soul into my classes," says Zayd. "I'm here to encourage my students to follow their dreams; and to build our industry."

In a testament to his talents, Zayd was named Trainer of the Month by Xtreme Lashes twice and bears the official title of Advanced Certified Lash Stylist.

As an Advanced Lash Stylist and Trainer, Zayd works carefully to customize lashes that build upon each client's natural beauty, taking into consideration eye shape and bone structure. "Making people feel good about themselves is so rewarding," says Zayd. "Through lashes, I'm transforming a client's appearance. But, the change is more than skin deep. It's about the chance for a client to see themselves in a new light, to bolster their confidence and that's just the most gratifying thing I could ever ask for."

In 2009 Zayd migrated from Virginia to sunny San Diego, CA. “I always knew I wanted to live there,” he says, “so I finally followed my heart.” It didn’t take long for San Diego to catch on to Zayd’s talents, and he now has an extensive following of lash fans at his La Jolla studio, Lashery, and throughout southern California. As for the future, Zayd intends to stay put in San Diego for now and continue his part in helping to shape the future of lash styling through his own work and through the education of the next generation of stylists. “I love helping people be successful and watching them grow. I want to help new stylists to do this right and continue supporting Xtreme Lashes’ role as the leading company in this industry,” Zayd explains.
